Volunteer Opportunities

Among the bylaws of The Galena Territory Association (GTA) is the intent to “…work to integrate the GTA and its members into local communities through the development and support of mutually beneficial projects…” The Civic Affairs Commission of the GTA is charged with implementing the bylaw and is providing the attached list of service organizations to acquaint property owner with rewarding volunteer opportunities in our community.

Many Galena Territory property owners are currently active in volunteering. The GTA thanks all property owners for their time volunteering to help the local community and encourages everyone to consider volunteering for service organizations in our area.
ORGANIZATIONS
Do you have an event or something of interest that you’d like to promote? Are you looking for volunteers? We may be able to help! Send us a press release for your non-profit or charitable organization. We have over 5,500 members, often looking for activities, events, entertainment, volunteer opportunities, and other ways to share their talents in the local community. The GTA publishes a monthly newspaper, the Territory Times, and sends a weekly event email to our members. Deadlines for weekly event emails are every Thursday and Territory Times deadlines are a month before publication and requested by the 25th of each month, i.e., a deadline of Aug. 25 would be for the October issue.
