Amenities

Amenities are the facilities and services available to GTA homeowners and guests. Facilities and Activities include:

Owners’ Club Complex
(Accessible only by property owners and their guests)

View Details of The Owners’ Club Complex

The property owners’ clubhouse overlooks a wide valley in the heart of The Territory and houses recreational facilities for year-round enjoyment for property owners and their guests.

The new Pool/Recreation Complex was added in May, 2012, and includes a state-of-the-art fitness center with a spectacular view of the valley, new and improved locker rooms with a “dry” side for fitness center visitors and a “wet” side for pool visitors, an enhanced snack bar with indoor and outdoor patio seating, and of course, three new pools! The outdoor activity pool has a double slide and in-pool seating area; the zero-entry kiddy pool has bubblers and a frog slide for the kids to enjoy, and the indoor pool is open for swimming year-round.

The Owners’ Club Lounge and Social Halls can be rented by property owners for birthdays, family and holiday parties, corporate meetings, weddings and anniversaries. Both come with full-service kitchens.

To round out your recreation options, the Owners’ Club has an Arts & Crafts room, computer center, game room and video arcade, plus the entire complex offers free wireless Internet connectivity. Outside you’ll find ample parking, two tennis courts, a basketball court and small playground.

Lake Galena and Marina
(Accessible only by property owners and their guests, and guests  of Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa)

One of The Galena Territory’s most cherished amenities is Lake Galena, a scenic 225-acre lake perfect for anglers and boaters who enjoy observing nature on leisurely cruises. It boasts some of the best fishing in the area, with an abundance of smallmouth and largemouth bass, walleye, bluegill, channel catfish, perch and tiger muskie. The lake is primarily spring-fed and has a spillway at one end creating a beautiful 40-foot waterfall called Thunder Bay Falls.

Be sure to watch for its many feathered friends… eagles, owls, ospreys, blue herons, ducks and wild turkeys. Wildlife, in addition to the abundant fish and turtles, often includes white tail deer, red fox, beavers and muskrats.

Rent a boat or purchase fishing supplies at the Bait & Tackle Shop, or dock your own boat at one of the Marina’s numerous slips. The Marina Park Complex also has a picnic pavilion, tennis courts, and kids’ playground for other land-based activities.

Greenspace and Trails
(Accessible only by property owners and their guests, and guests  of Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa)

Over 1,700 acres of Greenspace (open spaces) are maintained as habitat and protected from future development, including the 7.5 mile shoreline of Lake Galena. Wild turkey, white tailed deer, and red fox are frequently seen, along with hawks and eagles soaring overhead. Woods and meadows are lush with grasses, flowers, ferns, shrubs and trees May through October. With close to 23 miles of trails winding through Greenspace, hikers can spend a day enjoying the serenity and solitude that only nature can provide.

The trails closest to Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa are paved and suitable for jogging, power walking, and other activities that require sure footing. Some of these trails also have lookout platforms for beautiful panoramas of Lake Galena and the countryside.

The majority of the trails are natural and not paved. They are rugged and sometimes wet and slippery. However, that just adds to their charm! Hiking and horseback riding are two of the most popular pastimes here and can be enjoyed year-round. Although the trails are not groomed for cross-country skiing, you can enjoy them if you don’t mind breaking your own trail.
